You can configure this setting in the email portal https://studmail.unileoben.ac.at.

This happens when you send emails with large attachments from home and are connected via modem.

Reason: The file is uploaded to the server immediately as soon as you click “attach”. This means it does not need to be transferred to the server again when the message is sent.

  • Currently a maximum of 2 GB. This limit applies to the entire home directory, including the mailbox.
  • If you also run a website, this will also count towards your storage limit. You can view your current usage in the email portal.
  • It is therefore advisable to save old emails (sent emails, etc.) to USB sticks or other storage media in good time and clear out your mailbox before it becomes full...
  • If you use other email software on your PC alongside Webmail, you can simply move the messages to a local folder on your PC.

Yes! Emails are only accepted up to a size of 50 MB. Attachments in webmail: max. 8 MB.

You may be using too much storage space for incoming emails. Check your email portal https://studmail.unileoben.ac.at to see how much storage space you are using. If you receive the message ‘over the quota!’, this means you are using too much storage space and you will need to delete old emails before you can receive new ones again.

If you receive such an email, it means that a virus has been detected in one of your emails. Both incoming and outgoing emails are scanned for viruses. The email from ‘virusscan’ informs you about the virus found (name, sender, etc.) and what action has been taken.

If you have forgotten your password, you can obtain a new PIN code from the Study Support Centre and use it to set a new passwordin the MUonline system.
