IBM SPSS Statistics

Montanuniversität Leoben provides IBM SPSS Statistics to its employees as a network license. The right to use the software is limited to work computers owned by Montanuniversität Leoben.

Before using the IBM SPSS Statistics software for the first time, the completed sublicense form must be sent via email to ict-support(at)unileoben.ac.at.

IBM SPSS Statistics is available for the following operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux
SPSS v29 Network Licence Installation Guide
  1. Select and run setup.exe.
  2. Agree to the License Terms twice.
  3. Select the Installation Folder.
  4. The installation will begin.
  5. Now startSPSS. Select the “License Wizard”.
  6. Now select the second option, “License for Concurrently Logged-In Users”.
  7. Now enter the license server hostname: licsrv2.unileoben.ac.at
  8. Now restart SPSS Statistics.

If a licensing error occurs during startup, you must create an environment variable with the following content:

Variable: LSHOST  
Wert: licsrv2.unileoben.ac.at
