Setting up Uniflow printers / Windows

  • Open the Windows Search function using the Windows key and type \\uniflow.
  • Run the command by double-clicking on ‘Run command’.
  • An input field will appear, prompting you to enter your MUonline username (p/mxxxxxxxxx) and MUonline password.

Important – make sure you enter unileoben\before your MUonline username!

Once the username and password have been entered correctly,a window will open showing various Uniflow printers.

  • Select SecureprintPCL6 and install it by double-clicking.

A window will open showing the installation progress.

Once the installation has completed successfully, a window showing the pending print jobs will open.

  • You can now close this window.
  • Check that the installation was successful by going to the Start menu and looking for the entry “SecureprintPCL6 on uniflow” under “Devices and Printers”.
  • To print a document, select the uniflow printer and the print job will be sent.
  • The document can now be printed on all uniflow printers by entering the MUonline username (p/mxxxxxxxx) and the MUonline password.
  • Under the “SecurePrint” tab, review your sent print jobs and select the desired document.

Setting up Uniflow printers / macOS

  • On a Mac device, the account name of the local user with administrator rights must match your own p-number or student ID number, for example p12xxxxx or m11xxxxx.
  • To change the account name, go to System Preferences and select ‘Users & Groups’.
  • Press and hold the Control key and click on the current user.
  • Under ‘Advanced Options...’, you can now edit the user.
  • A new window will open again
  • Click on the ‘Standard’ tab whilst holding down the CTRL key – a toolbar will appear. Drag the “Advanced” icon to the top toolbar so that it remains there permanently.
  • Confirm by clicking ‘Done’.
  • Open the ‘Advanced’ tab.
  • Enter the settings as shown in the illustration and, under “Use”, select the printer driver that you have previously installed.
  • Confirm by clicking ‘Add’.

The Printers and Scanners window should then reappear, and the uniflow printer should be visible in the printer list on the left.

  • Select this printer and go to the Settings to enter the configuration as shown in the illustration.
  • To print a document, select the uniflow printer and the print job will be sent.
  • The document can now be printed on all uniflow printersby entering the MUonline username (p/mxxxxxxxx) and the MUonline password.
  • Under the “SecurePrint” tab, review your sent print jobs and select the desired document.
