As part of the preparation for the migration from HCL Notes to MS Outlook/Exchange, it is necessary to decrypt all your encrypted emails. This ensures that no emails are lost, and you can continue to use Notes as usual until your organizational unit is migrated.

Please open your Inbox and select “Actions” from the menu bar (at the top), then choose “Prepare for M365 Migration” and finally “Decrypt Documents.” A notification window will appear; after clicking “OK,” you can monitor the progress (number of remaining documents and percentage) in the status bar at the bottom left of Notes. Please note that Notes cannot be used while decryption is in progress (a few seconds, depending on the number of documents).

Important—After processing your Inbox, please also open your Archive and repeat the process!

Another step in preparing for the migration from HCL Notes to MS Outlook/Exchange is convertingprivate folders into regular folders.

To do this, go to the menu bar, select “Actions,” then “Prepare for M365 Migration,” and finally “Convert Private Folders.” A confirmation window will appear; after confirming by clicking “OK,” all private folders will be converted.
